His $1 million settlement for a spinal fusion patient who was abandoned by a surgeon at Mount Auburn Hospital resulted in a new hospital policy to inform patients if a doctor is suspended.

In 2012, Mr. Breakstone obtained a $7.5 million settlement for the family of an electrician who was killed in a propane gas explosion in Norfolk, Mass. Mr. Breakstone is known for his results for clients injured in public transportation accidents and pedestrians who have been injured or killed in bus accidents.
