Jake Oeth grew up in Ogden, IA, a small town north of Des Moines and west of Ames. He graduated from Drake University Law School with honors in May 2018. While in law school, Jake was a part of a group of students who helped a federal inmate successfully apply for a commutation of his life sentence for a drug conviction and served as a student attorney in the Drake Legal Clinic representing court appointed criminal defendants.
Jake received his undergraduate degree in political science from Loras College in Dubuque, IA, where he also played basketball for the Duhawks. After graduating from Loras College in 2009, Jake worked for U.S. Senator Tom Harkin in Washington, D.C and later moved back to Iowa to work for U.S. Representative Bruce Braley in Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and Des Moines. Jake has extensive experience with federal, state, and local governments and working on federal & presidential campaigns, including the Iowa Caucuses.
Jake focuses on all areas of personal injury law, including but not limited to automobile accidents, medical malpractice, and workers compensation. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa.
