I am a trial lawyer specializing in the areas of medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, and personal injury. My practice is focused on helping people who have been injured by the negligence of others. All too often, when a person is injured they are confused about what happened, why it happened, who is responsible, and what to do next. I am committed to providing the personal attention my clients need to get their questions answered and to help them better understand their legal options. In my view, helping individuals obtain fair compensation for their injuries promotes safety and accountability in our nursing homes and the healthcare field. That benefit to one, is a benefit to all.
In addition to injury law, I served for six years as legal counsel to the Delaware Senate where I drafted legislation and provided advice throughout the legislative process. I volunteer time representing dependent, neglected, and abused children in Family Court proceedings through the Office of Child Advocate. I am Vice Chair of the Women and the Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association and an active member of the Superior Court Civil Rules Committee, the Richard S. Rodney Inn of Courts, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, a Triad member of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association and the Delaware State Bar Association.
A proud graduate of Virginia Tech, I enjoy watching Hokie football (most of the time) and spending time with my husband and two small children –each of whom know the Hokie fight song by heart.
