I decided to become a lawyer in honor of my friend, Sgt. Jessie Davila, who was killed in action while we were deployed to Iraq. My initial focus in the law was to help other Veterans navigate the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs disability system as a Veterans lawyer. However, I discovered that many of the Veterans I was helping obtain VA disability benefits also needed help with estate planning and elder law concerns.

This realization led me back to law school, where I earned my Masters in Law (LL.M.) in Elder journey in the legal profession started with internships at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Regional Counsel, and The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program (TVC). During my time at TVC, I was very fortunate to work at the National Veterans Legal Services Program, where I contributed to their renowned Veterans Benefits Manual.

Once I graduated from law school, I had the great honor of serving as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Hon. Robert N. Davis at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. These experiences gave me incredible insight into Veterans Law and made me a better Veterans Disability Lawyer.

I’m very fortunate to now lead a great team of VA disability lawyers at my law firm, Centonzio Law, PLLC. My firm also offers estate planning to our clients in Florida, Missouri, and Kansas. Still, our primary focus is helping Veterans and other claimants obtain the VA disability benefits they are entitled to receive.

I’m proud of the work we do and the results we have achieved for our do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about what my law firm can do for Veterans or their surviving spouses. If you come across a Veteran (or claimant) who has been denied VA disability benefits or needs help to receive the proper disability rating from the VA, my team and I can help.
